Positions are located in upstate NY (5 minutes from Saugerties, 20 minutes from Kingston, Woodstock & about 40 minutes from Hudson)
This is production work in a 750 square foot, clean, organized & professional studio. Training periods tend to be extensive with a long learning curve specific to the work, so serious applicants only please.
PAINTER: Fine line brushwork on 3 dimensional objects. Images are precise and controlled. Some calligraphic elements. Working on ceramic is a plus but not essential. Permanent part-time or full-time.
HANDBUILDER: Experience with hand building in stoneware is a must. Slab, coil, extruding all used. Work is tight and controlled, not loose. 3-4 Days per week.
ADMIN: I call this position the 'holder of the orders'. Customer service and order facilitation and tracking for wholesale, trade and online orders. Applicant MUST be organized and thorough. Qualities I"m looking for are professional, clear and kind. 2-4 days per week.
STUDIO TECH: Glaze making, cleaning, organizing, maintenance of studio equipment and supplies. 2 days per month.
