I truly hope that this finds you & your loved ones safe and in good health.
As of March 14th, the studio doors closed but the online shop is open. In an attempt to keep the studio going I am offering a 20% discount on all work (in stock, made to order and gift cards) using code WE2020.
Also, until June 3rd an additional 5% of your order amount was donated to Citymeals-on-Wheels an organization dedicated to bring meals to NYC's elderly. Together we raised $7000! Thank you!
We also raised $8000 via the Seeding Sovereignty limited edition piece and the raffle to provide water, food & PPE specifically for the Elders of the Navajo, Apache, and Pueblo communities in New Mexico. Thank you again!
The WE2020 code ends on June 15th when my studio re-opens.
For the next month until July 15, 15% of all online sales will be donated to a group committed to Racial Justice and Equality, TBD. I am committed to learning, understanding, and changing the ways myself and the system have committed injustice and cruelty to my fellow black and brown human family. I agree wholeheartedly, that it's not enough to be not racist, we need to be Anti-Racist. I stand HERE.
Truly in the words of Carson McCullers we come face to face with ‘the we of me’.
Be safe, be well, be kind. And please remember to breathe as you navigate your own challenges.
‘We can start where we are…’ (Pema Chodron)…breathe out sympathy, relaxation, and spaciousness. Instead of just a small, dark situation, you allow a lot of space for these feelings. Breathing out is like ventilating the whole thing, airing it out. Breathing out is like opening up your arms and just letting go. It’s fresh air. Then you breathe the rage in again—the black, heavy hotness of it. Then you breathe out, ventilating the whole thing, allowing a lot of space.’
Lots of love to all & in much gratitude,
Michele
