Custom Wall Hangings
Ceramic Curtains are meticulously handcrafted and assembled wall hangings that bring earth, light, and texture into your home. They are a sculptural and architectural element that are both organic & grounded with a sense of lightness and movement.
PLT's are wall hangings comprised of the same Curtain elements in pre-designed set configurations.

Curtain wall hangings are composed of many components. The ceramic piece, the knotting, the bar, the bracket & the overall shape/bottom.
The Ceramic Pieces:
- Shapes available are the Disc, Shell, Ring, Bead, Flower & Featherbone.
- 2 Clay Bodies- White or Tucker.
- Colors. White, Grey, Grey Fade, B&W, Brown Ombre (Blk, Dark Brown, Med Brown, Golden Brown), Rainbow (Indigo, Red, Orange, Marigold), Sunrise (Marigold, Yellow, White).
- Color samples are available to order here.
The Knotting: Ceramics components are knotted, or layered in strands with cotton cord. The top loops of each strand is assembled in polished hemp.
The Bar: Hardwoods bevelled in White Oak or Walnut. Driftwood and other wood types are available up on request and availability.
The Brackets: Forged or bent steel, brass or wood.
The Overall Shape: Wall hangings can be finished straight, shaggy, tapered or irregular across the bottom.
Pricing: Custom Curtains are priced by square foot. Frequently ordered sizes are listed but style here.
Sources: Ceramic components are made in-house at MQuan Studio. Wood components are custom made in Cincinnati Ohio. Metal brackets are custom made in Kingston NY. All assembly is done in-studio.
How to Order & FAQ:
- Email size, color, shape requests to Michele at mquanstudio@mquan.com for a custom quote and/or design consultation regarding sizing, placement etc.
- Lead times are 8-20 weeks depending on how many pieces we have in process at the studio
- 50% deposit is required to start production, balance due prior to shipping
- Detailed installation instructions and support are provided
