WHAT IS A PLT?
- PLT wall hangings are a set configuration and assembled by the amount of pieces, not to size, therefore the sizes listed will vary slightly
- PLT's require installation & assembly. All specs are listed below by style. Note that the strand spacing for PLT's differ between styles and is different than the spacing for the curtains
COMPONENTS
Bevelled Bars:
- Bevelled Bars are up to 6" to 8' longer than the width of the ceramic and available in unfinished Walnut (top) or White oak (bottom)
Brackets:
- Wood wall mounts are assembled with key hole hanger hardware and take a #8 or #10 flathead screw that is at least 1 1/4" in length. Type of anchor depends on wall type and also PLT size.
- Steel & brass metal brackets have 2 x 1/4" hole per bracket
- Minimum #8 x 1-1/4" flathead screw
- Please consult with professionals in regards to choosing correct anchors & screws for wall type
- How many wall mounts per wall hanging? Quantity needed vary depending on the length, width and placement. A general guideline:
- Up to 3.5' wide - 2 wall mounts
- 3' to 5' wide - 3 wall mounts
- 4' wide and over- use 1 wall mount per 2' of width
- Wall mounts can be placed on the outside of hanging or within:
PLT WEIGHTS
- Weights (Estimated Ounce Per Piece / Square Foot):
- Discs Knotted- 4 oz / SF 4.5 lb
- Discs Layered- 5.5 oz / SF 6.5 lb
- Shells Layered- 5.5 oz / SF 6.75 lb
- Press Beads- .4 oz / SF 2.5 lb
- Rings- .06 0z / SF 2.75 lb
- Determine location, positioning and placement on the wall using the the bar and the longest strand
- Mount brackets to wall
- Place bar on brackets
- Slide strands onto bar
- Space and organize strands

- Layered components & macrame wall hangings have a 'bunny ear' loop that slides on the bar. These arrive taped in place, but if the loop needs to be established, instructions can be found here for discs/shells and macrame
- Layered shells & layered discs sometimes 'kink' when first installed. A video for straightening them can be found here
- Screws & Anchors are NOT shipped with wall mounts to insure that appropriate screws and anchors are used for the type of wall that the wall hanging is mounted on

PLT7L Disc- Layered
- Bar length is 25"

- Macrame arrives with rope thread through top knots, remove rope and slide bar through
- Stretch macrame to approximately 18" wide and into place on the bar before you hang on mounts
PLT10 Disc Tapestry- Knotted
- Bar length is 36"
- Bar diameter is 1.5"
- Strands are spaced 2.5" apart
- Wall mounts are spaced 26"
PLT11L Disc- Layered
- Bar length is 36"
- Bar diameter is 1.5"
- Strands are spaced 2.25" apart

- On inside of first & last ceramic strand- 21"
- On outside of all ceramic strands- 25"
PLT12 Mac Disc- Knotted
- Bar length is 30"
- Bar diameter is 1.5"
- Wall mount spacing- 22.5"

PLT7LW Shell- Layered
- Bar length 36"
- Bar diameter is 1 1/8"
- Strands are spaced 5" apart
- Wall mounts are spaced 24.25 apart (from center of WM)
PLT10L Shell- Layered
- Bar length is 31"
- Bar diameter 1 1/8"
- Strands are spaced 2.5"
- Wall mounts are spaced 25" apart (from center of WM's)
PLT11L Shell- Layered
- Bar length is 36"
- Bar diameter is 1.5"
- Strands are spaced 2.5" apart
- Wall mount are spaced (measured from center of WM's):
- On inside of first & last ceramic strand- 22.5"
- On outside of all ceramic strands- 27.5"
PLT11LW Shell- Layered
- Bar length is 5'
- Bar diameter is 1.5"
- Strands are spaced 5" apart
- Wall mount are spaced 35" apart (measured from center of WM's) / 2 strands outside on each end
PLT14L Shell- Layered
- Bar length is 42"
- Bar diameter is 1.5"
- Strands are spaced 2.5" apart
- Wall mount are spaced (measured from center of WM's):
- On inside of 2 ceramic strand on each side- 25"
- On the outside of the piece you will need 3 wall mounts- 1 for the center at 21", and 17.5" from center bracket
